Do it Yourself!

No Problem ...

Do it yourself with Dryzone.  No liquids, no bottles, no mess, no smell.  Being a cream Dryzone is the cleanest and easiest of all treatments to apply yourself for less than a third of the cost of having it done by professionals. Dryzone is suitable for brickwork, bluestone, sandstone and rubble walls all of which can be treated from one side only up to 600mm thick.

Another benefit of Dryzone is that you can treat cavity walls from one side only by simply drilling from the outside sleave across the cavity and into the internal sleave to within 10mm of your skirting boards. Dryzone can then be injected into both sleaves from the outside which means you don't have to take the skirting boards off inside and drill both sleaves. This saves both time and a mess inside your house.

All you need is a good hammer drill that will take a 12mm masonry drill bit (easy to hire if you don't have one) and a hand held application gun which we supply. Just follow some simple instructions (view on http://www.dryzone.info/installing_dryzone.htm) is done efficiently in very little time (one person can treat all walls in an average home in less than two days).

Peace of Mind Assured...

Dryzone has been used in Australia on hundreds of projects from brick homes to stone churches and heritage buildings with 100% success.  It has been awarded the prestigious British Board Of Agrément (BBA) certification and comes with a 20 year warranty. The BBA is a Government partnered testing organisation, which sets the standards that are recognised in Australia.  Not all rising damp treatments have passed the stringent tests neccessary to achieve BBA approval.

Using a BBA certified product, such as Dryzone, is your assurance that the product has been proven effective for the purpose it was designed for.

To check this accreditation and that of other products being offered in Australia visit the BBA website www.bbacerts.co.uk and follow the prompts "Certificate Search", "Walls & Cladding", "Damp-proof Course (remedial)".  Dryzone can be found under Certificate 14, 97/3363 Safeguard Chemicals Ltd. What will it Cost? ...

First identify which walls need treating and determine the structure of each wall which will be either single brick, double brick, solid stone, or rubble. Secondly check measure the thickness of any solid walls and work out a total length for each of the different size of wall that needs treating. One tube of Dryzone will treat approximately 5 - 6 metres of single brick or each 100mm thickness of solid wall which equates, for example, to one and a half metres of 400mm solid stone. This in turn equates to less than $25 for single brick, $50 double brick, $100 for 400mm solid stone or any other combination based on approximately $25 for each metre of 100mm thickness. You also need an application gun, retail price $100, against which we will refund $70 for guns returned to us in good condition (all you need do is to wash the gun after use with cold water). Your net cost of the gun is therefore $30 plus approximately $7 return post.

How to Order ...

Calculate your requirements by using the charts below, or let us know the lineal metres of each thickness of wall and we'll calculate for you (go to the contact us page). We will then email you a tax invoice for your order.  Payment can be made by either credit card, internet banking, cheque or money order. On receipt of payment we will mail the goods to you.

DRYZONE

Installing Dryzone Damp-Proofing Cream
Installing Dryzone damp-proofing cream is extremely quick and easy. The step-by-step guide on this page outlines how to use Dryzone to damp-proof a standard brick wall. For information on damp-proofing other types of walls, such as random stone walls, consult our guide to “Rising Damp and its Control,” available from our brochure download page.

1.

Drill holes at 100mm centres along the mortar course of the walled to be damp-proofed using a 12mm drill-bit. Holes should be drilled to a depth slightly less than the thickness of the wall - see full instructions for suggested drilling depths for common wall thicknesses.

2
Unscrew the nozzle attachment from the Dryzone gun and insert the Dryzone cartridge.

3.
Pierce the Dryzone cartridge using a sharp knife.

4.

Replace the nozzle and screw tight.
Inject Dryzone damp-proofing cream…

5.
Insert the nozzle of the Dryzone gun into the full depth of the first pre-drilled hole. Squeeze the gun trigger and back-fill the hole to within one centimetre of the surface. When damp-proofing cavity walls, make certain that the holes in each leaf are filled.
Finish the job…

6.
Fill the rest of the holes with Dryzone damp-proofing cream in the same manner.
